Payment Options Available

Payments are made online and we accept the following methods of payment PayPal using Visa, Visa Debit or Mastercard and Smartcard

All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. Orders cannot be processed without full payment, and no goods will be dispatched until a credit / debit card payment has been authorised. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery

Payments made by paypal will appear as StudentFaci on your bank Statement

Credit / Debit Card Security

We use PayPal to process our orders. PayPal are one of the Internets most secure payment service providers and we are regularly checked and updated with the best fraud prevention software available to give our customers full peace of mind when shopping on Customer’s personal details are never shared with any third parties. Only the email addresses for those who have subscribed to our newsletters are kept on file and we do not keep credit card details. Once your credit card has been processed your card details are deleted immediately.

Verified by Visa (VbV) and MasterCard®, Secure Code (MSC), often referred to as 3-D Secure or Payment Authentication, is the latest fraud prevention initiative launched by the card schemes as a more secure method for authenticating the cardholder at the time of the transaction. Both schemes work in the same way by using personal passwords, set by you the cardholder, to add an extra layer of protection when you shop online. The instructions that you see on the pages within our site are coming direct from your card issuing bank and any information that you submit on these authentication screens are securely passed to your card issuing bank, no information will be captured, stored or viewed on any system.

Smartcard Payments

Due to an increase in demand for new services on UCC ID cards – Smartcard has been introduced to the UCC Campus. In addition to being used as access and ID cards, Student and Staff cards can now be used for print and copy facilities, electronic payments at points of sale and select vending on campus.

Cardholders will have the ability to load money on their card at cash top up machines in addition to an online Smartcard top up facility.

When purchasing items on using a Smartcard you will have to use the “Collect in UCC” shipping option as you will need to come in to the Student Centre to physically pay for the item using your UCC Smartcard.


Returning Unwanted Items / Cancelling an order

Under the European Communities (Protection of Consumers in Respect of Contracts Made by Means of Distance Communication) Regulations 2001, you have up to 7 working days after you have received your delivery to cancel your order (other than in respect of goods made to your specification, clearly personalised or unsealed audio or video recording or computer software). Any delivery charges will be refunded; however, if only part of your order is cancelled, the delivery charge will not be refunded.

You have the right as a consumer to return an unwanted item within 7 days of receipt of the item and you will receive a full refund of the price paid for those products. Please note that this does not apply to products which are: (a) foodstuffs, beverages or other goods intended for everyday consumption; or (b) made to your specification or which are clearly personalised; or (c) audio/video recordings or computer software unsealed by you; or (d) newspapers, magazines or periodicals, all which cannot be returned unless the Product is damaged or defective.

To return these items, you must inform us in writing  by emailing Rachel at and return the products in question to us immediately in the same condition in which you  received them, and at your own cost unless the product is damaged or defective. The address for returns is

How to send item back

Items to be returned must be unworn and must be in their original condition. We cannot accept items which have been worn or stained in any way by for example perfume, deodorant, make-up. Any item that has been washed, dried in a tumble dryer or damaged in any way cannot be returned.

If you are returning items by post they should be packaged in their original packaging if possible and should contain the original packing docket and invoice. Items should be posted to:

Please email the online shop at quoting your order reference number with a brief explanation as to who you are and why you are returning the item. We will endeavour to deal with your request as quickly as possible.

Returns can be made in person to the Information Desk in Áras na Mac Léinn, Student Centre, University College Cork, Cork. Please email Rachel at to organise this.

Refunds can only be issued through the online shop; the refund will be credited to the card used when the original order was placed.

Return Shipping Costs

Shipping costs on any non-damaged or non-flawed returns will be the responsibility of the customer, unless we delivered the item to you in error or it is faulty.

We recommend the use of a recorded-delivery service, for your own peace of mind, since we cannot be held responsible for any returned items that are lost in transit, without proof of our receipt.


Unwanted goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any tags must be intact. Extra care must be taken when trying on clothing, please ensure that you are not wearing any make-up, fragrance or deodorant that may leave a scent or mark. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition or are damaged.
Refunds will be made through the online shop; the refund will be credited to the card used when the original order was placed.

How long will it take to process return?

Returns can take up to two weeks to be processed, upon receipt of unworn and undamaged items but we will always endeavour to deal with them in the quickest time possible.


We do not offer exchanges. You have to return the item unworn and undamaged to the online shop where you will be issued with a refund as outlined above. You may re-order the new item at any stage as it will be deemed as a separate and new transaction.

Can I return a Sale, Clearance or End of Line item

Sale, clearance or end of line items cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason other than a fault with the garment
