Who is UCCShop.ie
For many years the various outlets in charge of selling UCC Merchandise and Clothing have discussed the idea of creating a new online shop which could be used to expand the range of UCC and UCC related merchandise to reflect the range and diversity of products currently available in the University community via the various outlets. In early 2011 a group of partners associated with the Student Centre, Visitor’s Centre, Sports and PE Department, the Student’s Union and the Alumni came together and did just that!
Our aim was to create a website that is user friendly and on trend, for use by the wider college community and alumni to purchase goods online. We are also hoping to bring our brand to people outside of the college community. By bringing the different outlets together we are offering a “one stop shop” where customers can purchase items from across the various outlets in a few clicks. We ship worldwide and offer a “buy online – collect in store” option if you are located close to the college campus and wish to save on postage costs. We hope we have achieved our aim and that you the customer will enjoy using our website as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to you.
The online shop sells clothing, some of which can be seen in College Gear located in the Student Centre and in the Visitors Centre and others which are exclusive to the online shop. The clothing is all unisex unless otherwise stated. We are also selling UCC merchandise, books and stationary.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following methods of payment – Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, PayPal and Smartcard (UCC Staff/Student ID Card)
What if I don’t have a PayPal Account?
Don’t worry you can still purchase items on our website by checking out as a Guest. Even if you don’t have a PayPal account, or you don’t want to register one, you can still pay through PayPal using your credit card information.
When will I be charged?
Payment is charged immediately after security checks from your bank issuer and UCCShop have been authorised.
How do I know my order has been placed successfully?
We will send you an acknowledgement email on successful completion of an order on uccshop.ie. This email will detail the order that you have placed and will give you an order reference number. We would advise you to keep this email safely as you will need your order reference number for any further queries which you may have. Failure to provide us with an order reference number on request will result in a delay with your inquiry. Once your order has been accepted and dispatched to you we will send you a confirmation email.
I did not receive a confirmation email
Please contact us if you do not receive an acknowledgement email and we will make sure it is not a problem with our system. Acknowledgement emails are generated and sent automatically once an order has been successfully completed. You may need to check your mailbox as it may be treating our emails as spam or junk mail and you should check your spam or junk mail folders to make sure they have not gone directly to this location. You may also need to ensure that all of the details entered are correct, please pay particular attention to your payment card details, email address and delivery addresses.
The item/size I ordered is out of stock. Why was it on the website?
All items are subject to availability. Generally, if an item is showing on our website then it is available to order. However, during busy periods we may be in a position where we cannot supply an item or there may be an unexpected delay in despatch. Our system does not record individual size quantities, if you order several items in the same size you may experience a slight delay. If this is the case, we will let you know as soon as possible and will offer to substitute the item for another item of similar style/colour/ size or we will offer a refund.
When I went to order an item it said “Available on Back Order” – what does this mean?
When an item says “Available on Back Order” or “Back Ordered” it means that the item is physically out of stock but has been ordered and we are awaiting its delivery. These items can take up to 2 weeks to be delivered to us but will be sent out to you the customer as soon as they come in to stock.
Can I change my order?
If you need to change or cancel your order please contact Rachel at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. As our orders are automatically processed we cannot guarantee that we will be in a position to change it before it is shipped. In the instance that you receive your order and need to change it please see our returns policy for more details.
How long will my order take to be processed?
We endeavour to process orders as quickly as possible as we know how exciting it is to get your order promptly, however please allow 24 – 72 working hours as a guide. Public Holidays such as Bank Holidays, Christmas and Easter may result in slightly longer order processing times.
I’ve forgotten my password, what should I do?
You can request a new password by going to the login section of the website and by clicking on the “Forgot your password” icon. A new password will be generated and will be sent to the email address you provided when you set up your user account. You can change your password at any time by going to your personal customer account and by following the on screen prompts.
How can I check the status of my order?
When you log into your account on uccshop.ie you can check your order history which will detail when your order was accepted and when it was shipped. A track and trace option will be available online at www.anpost.ie or through the An Post Customer Service Number. When an order is shipped, you the customer will receive a note via email which will contain your order’s unique tracking number. You can trace your order using this number on the anpost website.
What to do if your order fails to arrive
Packages sent by private courier are traceable and are very rarely lost. You will be sent tracking information when your parcel has been shipped.
All standard shipping packages will be sent by Priority Service and requires a signature on delivery. Packages sent overseas via Airmail are despatched within Ireland and then passed over to the country’s regular postal system. While these postal systems do try to deliver all parcels, there are occasions when losses happen. If this occurs, please allow 25 days from the date of dispatch for the package to arrive. If this time elapses and the goods do not arrive, please contact your local post / sorting office to check that no goods are being held.
In the unlikely event that the package is not being held at your local post / sorting office, please contact Rachel at email@example.com as soon as possible and we will be happy to assist you in discovering the whereabouts of your package.

Can I get a refund?
Your statutory rights are not affected by shopping online with uccshop.ie, please see our refund policy in the Payment and Returns section
I don’t know what size to get.
The majority of the clothes for sale on our website uccshop.ie are suitable for both men and women unless otherwise stated. There is a size chart available to assist you with your choice and this can be found beside the graphic of each item which you wish to purchase. These size charts are a guideline only and if they don’t help please do not hesitate to contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to assist you in any way we can.
Are my details secure and private?
We use PayPal to process our orders. PayPal is one of the Internets most trusted and secure ways of purchasing products online. Customer’s personal details are never shared with any third parties. Only the email addresses for those who have subscribed to our newsletters are kept on file and we do not keep credit card details. Once your credit card has been processed your card details are deleted immediately.
