UCC Youth Theatre offers an introduction to theatre skills for young people aged 14+. Over 12 weeks of theatre-based workshops participants will gain an understanding of basic theatre techniques, developing creatively and working both independently and part of an ensemble. During workshops participants will experience different approaches to devising theatre – including physical theatre, improvisation, writing and character development. UCC Youth Theatre is open to any young person with an interest in building theatre skills, developing creatively and meeting like-minded people. Members will take part in the Youth Theatre Symposium including attending Playshare, a national new play performance event hosted by Youth Theatre Ireland.
