Price: €120.00 for UCC Staff/Students, recipients of Social Welfare Payments, Over 65’s. €140.00 for all other applicants.

Starts: Monday 14th November 2022, from 19:00 – 21:00 in the Theatre Lab*

Classes will run for 6 weeks on the following dates: 14th November, 21st November, 28th November, 05th December, 12th December, 19th December

If you already have some experience of acting this is the workshop for you. Return to and clarify the sense of joy and empowerment that the activity brings.

Come along and learn to develop on a practice that has already yielded results in terms of creative rewards.

Learn to realise the actor’s art as a creative practice in its own right and to use the fabric of yourself and your own experience to pursue creative outcomes in theatre.


Jack Healy has worked in theatre for over thirty years mainly as an actor and playwright. He has written scripts for the Everyman Palace, and RTE Radio. Most recently, under commission from Cork County Council, he wrote a stage adaptation of the novel, Glenanaar by Cannon Sheehan to celebrate the centenary of his death. Recently he played the part of Michael in the highly acclaimed production of Dancing at Lughnasa at the Everyman Palace, Cork.
