Returns

Cancelling an order

Please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. Once an order has been processed, we may not be able to amend it.

Returning unwanted items

Under EU consumer legislation, when you shop online you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order. This is known as the “cooling-off period”. You do not need to give a reason for cancelling your order.

If you choose to exercise this right:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of receiving the goods
  • You then have a further 14 days to return the items
  • A full refund of the purchase price will be issued once the goods are returned and inspected
  • You may be responsible for the cost of returning the goods
  • Refunds will be made to the original payment method
 

Exceptions: the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to:

  • Goods made to your specification or clearly personalised items
  • Unsealed audio or video recordings or computer software
  • Newspapers, magazines or periodicals
  • Foodstuffs, beverages, or goods intended for everyday consumption
  • These items can only be returned if they are faulty or defective.
 

Return eligibility

Items must be unworn, undamaged, and returned with original tags and packaging. Items showing signs of wear, damage, or strong scents (e.g., perfume or deodorant) cannot be refunded. Sale, clearance, or end-of-line items cannot be returned unless faulty.

How to return an item

  • Pack the unworn/unused item securely in original packaging if possible, including a printed copy of your order confirmation email.

  • Email us at uccshop@ucc.ie with your order reference number and a brief explanation of the return.

  • Post the item back to:

Return shipping costs

Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or we delivered the wrong item. We recommend using a trackable postal service for your own peace of mind, as we cannot accept responsibility for returns lost in transit.

Refunds

Refunds are issued upon receipt of unworn and undamaged items. This process may take up to 2 weeks from receipt of the return but we will always endeavour to deal with them in the quickest time possible. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method and you will receive email confirmation once processed.

Exchanges are not offered; you should return the original item and place a new order for the replacement.

Faulty or incorrect items

If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us at uccshop@ucc.ie
within 14 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or refund and cover any applicable return costs.
